Church discipline is often viewed as either a slap on the wrist or a slap on the face. Many churches are so concerned about attracting and keeping people, that no one is actually being sanctified. Others practice more punishment than discipline. A church without loving and compassionate church discipline is a church without discipleship. A church without discipleship is no local church at all.
In this episode, James and Andrew consider Paul Washer's seventh indictment against the modern church. They consider the modern church's perception of the gathering and the basic purpose of church discipline in the context of the Christian assembly.
